Colouring with Copic markers

Recently, I've acquired a new obsession, colouring. Colouring with Copic Ciao markers to be exact. It's actually quite soothing to see a black and white image come alive with colours! And there's no right or wrong colours. You are free to explore. Dinosaurs can be purple with a touch of shimmer if you want to add a little glam factor to it. The professional artists would have you know that there are techniques of course, like shading, if you want to make your pictures become more life-like but I'm new at this and am happy to just indulge in a spot of simple colouring.

Because of my new found love, I've been purchasing quite a few stamps! Some of the brands that I really like are Hero Arts, Art Impressions( they've got some really adorable old foggies), Lawn Fawn(good for beginners), My Favorite Things and soon, I'll be buying some from Stamping Bella. Here's a look at some of the stamps I bought (I hope my better half is not reading this particular post!)

A few weeks ago, we went to a birthday party. we were celebrating for 6 of our friends who were all turning 40 this year. I decided to put my newly acquired "talent" to good use :) and made them birthday cards. Have a look...

The old foggies ones from Art Impressions are my favourite for the moment! Not that my friends are over the hill, 40's is the new 30's right? But I most certainly can envision us growing old together and remaining fast friends! Happy birthday you guys!

By the way, the party was a Hollywood theme and we decided to dress up as ....

Lol!! It was a clandestine affair, Batgirl and Capt America, seeing as how one was from marvel and the other DC! Anyway, hope you had fun looking at the cards I made. Will show more once I start colouring the rest of the stamps.
